Invisalign Clear Aligners in Midtown Manhattan

Invisalign straightens teeth with a series of clear, removable aligners instead of metal brackets and wires. Each set moves your teeth a small step, and because the aligners are nearly invisible and come out to eat and brush, they fit easily into work and daily life.

Who is it for?

Invisalign can treat many common alignment problems in adults and teens, including:

  • Crowded or overlapping teeth
  • Gaps between teeth
  • Mild to moderate overbite, underbite, or crossbite
  • Teeth that have shifted after earlier orthodontic treatment

Some complex cases are better treated another way. We will tell you at the consultation whether aligners are a good fit for your teeth.

What to expect

  1. Consultation. We examine your teeth and bite, take a digital scan, and talk through your goals.
  2. Your treatment plan. You see a preview of how your teeth are planned to move and an estimate of how long treatment will take.
  3. Wearing your aligners. Aligners are worn about 20 to 22 hours a day and changed on a set schedule. You visit us periodically so we can check progress.
  4. Keeping your result. A retainer holds your teeth in their new position once treatment ends.

How long does it take?

Treatment time varies with the amount of movement needed and how consistently the aligners are worn. Many cases take several months to a year or more. You will get an estimate for your own case at the consultation.

Frequently asked questions

Does Invisalign hurt?

Most people feel some pressure or tenderness for a day or two when they switch to a new set of aligners. This is a sign the teeth are moving and usually fades quickly.

Can I eat normally?

Yes. You take the aligners out to eat and drink anything other than water, then brush before putting them back in.
